Tell us about yourself 😄
Where are you from?
What is your role in TMC this year?
Senior Vice President, Alumni (Community)
What's a fun fact about yourself?
I have hiked an active volcano and gotten very close to exploding lava!
Pre-MBA Life 🤓
What is your story leading up to the MBA?
After completing my undergrad in Economics, I worked in strategy and management consulting for 5 years, delivering projects in LATAM, the US and Europe. I focused primarily on commercial strategy, project management, and product innovation for healthcare and CPG firms. In the (little) free time I had during my consulting years, I became passionate about doing road-trips, hiking, climbing and cycling.
Why did you choose to do an MBA?
The MBA came as a good opportunity to move to Europe and change the direction of my career and transition into Tech.
Why did you choose to come to LBS for your MBA?
Two years with a very international cohort in the heart of London - was there another option?!
Tell us about your interest in tech.
Products and businesses have the power of changing the world we live in, often subtly and without people realizing. This is where my passion in business lies: where technical innovation meets our everchanging social reality. I want to be part of organizations, or build ventures, that impact the direction of society.
I am also fascinated by the potent mix between hardware and software. Hardware is incredibly difficult and hence a more interesting challenge. Technologies in the Healthcare or Consumer space that ideally combine the two are my passion - from medical devices to smart watches, sensors, IoT devices, cloud-based APIs, I am quite versatile but the direct impact to customer or organizations is what drives me.
LBS Experience 😎
Describe your LBS MBA experience in 3 words.
Diverse. Friendship. New.
What has been your most memorable experience from the LBS MBA so far?
Trips! (despite dealing with the uncertainty of a global pandemic that pushed us to make the most of every experience)
What are your up to this summer (i.e. summer of 2021)?
I am interning at Ocado Retail in a Commercial Strategy role and conducting a programme to optimize the range and price of all the categories traded in the e-commerce channel.
Looking Forward 🚀
What are your post-MBA goals/plans?
Following the MBA ,I am hoping to be in a product role in London at a company where I feel passionate about the product and the purpose. In addition, I hope to be enjoying a new life build in this incredible city.
What's your motto/mindset going into the final year of your MBA?
Give space and time in your life to what you really love.
What do you hope to achieve through TMC specifically this year?
Meet more people and become a catalyst of connections by supporting the Alumni Pillar.
Finally, what, if any, advice do you have for incoming LBS students?
Try as many new things as you want! Not what others want, but what you know will bring you joy.
